Metal: Tetra-Lamp

This metal lamp is based on the shape of an aggregated tetrahedron, designed to act as a shade for a hanging bulb. The lamp was conceptualized and drawn as cut files for the water jet machine in the Taubman FabLab. One the sheet was cut, the metal was sanded smooth and pieces were assembled using rivets. The rivets are places at the edges which feature zipper-like tabs, which fold over neighboring pieces to strengthen the lamp at its edges.
